Assign a custom domain name
Visitors can easily find and remember your site with a domain name like www.yourdomain.com. To use a custom domain for Google Sites in your organisation, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Turn on site creation
Tip: If you already turned that on, continue to Step 2.
On a computer, sign in to your Google Admin Console
On the Admin Console homepage, go to Apps > Google Workspace > Sites
Tap New Users > Site Creation and Editing
Select Users can edit sites and check Allow users to create new sites
Save your changes
Step 2: Connect custom domain
Important: Requires having the Domain Settings administrator privilege.
In Sites settings of your admin console, tap Custom URL
Tap Add icon (➕) > New Sites
Tap Continue
Enter the Current URL of your site (eg. sites.google.com/domain/SITENAME)
Tap Continue
Choose a verified domain
Enter a custom URL for your site
Tap Continue
Set up the CNAME record in your Registrar
Tap Add Custom URL
