Change the Site Owner
Change the site owner of your site on Google Sites. Follow the steps below to change the owner of your site:
Step 1: Add an Editor
Note: If you use a Google Workspace account, your admin may limit your ability to add an editor
On a computer, open a site in new Google Sites
In the top navigation, tap Share icon (🧑+)
Under Share with People & Groups, enter an email address or select Google Groups
Important: Should be a Google Account to be an editor.
Tap Done
Step 2: Make Owner
Important: Duplicate your site incase you transfer to a complete stranger. Learn how to make a copy of your site.
In the top navigation, tap Share icon (🧑+)
Under Share with People & Groups, choose an editor
Should be a Google Account to be an editor
Tap Arrow icon (⬇) next to Editor
Tap Make Owner
Warning: The new owner will have full privileges and could remove you from the site.
